About Meredith

It is a blessing to live a life enriched by music.

This year marks a special moment in my life as I celebrate 25 years of singing and teaching. My passion is for performing all kinds of music ranging from opera and classical art songs to musical theater and cabaret. There is a very special place in my heart for the Broadway repertoire, and my doctoral final project was dedicated to the music of George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Rodgers & Hart.

Sharing the joy of music with students of all ages is at the heart of my teaching. Currently, I am on faculty at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, where I teach studio voice and opera workshop. I am excited to announce that this fall I am blessed to be able to launch and open my very own  private studio, Bravi Tutti – Vocal Arts Studio, offering my services and resources to the Texas Hill Country, San Antonio and surrounding areas.

I am lucky to call Boerne, Texas home. A beautiful town in the Texas Hill Country, where I live with my husband Rick and our three dogs, Mimi, Henry, and Baloo.

Teaching Experience

I love sharing my knowledge of vocal technique with young singers. The more free the voice the more beautiful the sound. It is my job to build a foundation of beautiful singing by creating proper warm-up techniques and vocalizing exercises for each individual. Confidence grows along with musicianship and artistry over time, but improving technique can happen relatively quickly with the correct information. There is nothing more rewarding for me than sharing my knowledge of vocal technique with young singers. It’s my passion!

My joy is found in developing talent and guiding my students in their musical journeys. Much of my career has been dedicated to helping singers prepare for competitions and professional musical theater auditions. I’ve had the privilege of guiding many of them to collegiate programs suited to their individual talents, and am happy to have been a part of their musical successes.

Over my career, I have worked with many different types of singers, helping improve their technique, musicianship, and stage presence. I’ve had the opportunity to teach at the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, Los Angeles City College, Northern Arizona University’s preparatory department, Indiana University’s Life Long Learning Department, as well my private studio Vocal Arts Studio in Bloomington, Indiana. In the winter of 2017, my husband Rick and I picked up and moved to Texas, and last fall I joined the faculty of St Mary’s University in San Antonio.

I would love to hear from you. Knowing where you are going is the first step to success. Contact me today, together we can get you there.
